Last year I did a 8 x 8 plot with mostly tomato plants; that turned out great, and a few other plants which did not.
This year I am trying square foot gardening and will be charting my progress (or not, lol)
The Raspberry
This is the first box I planted while waiting for the ground to be leveled.

The cucumbers did not do well, so I pulled them and replanted other things. First row: Beef tomato, green onion, pimento pepper, pimento pepper. Second row: tomato, basil, pimento pepper, pimento pepper. Third row: cherry tomato, bush tomato, purple cabbage, brussels sprouts. Forth row: million tomatoes, bush tomtatoes, purple cabbage, brussels sprouts.

I took all the cages off. Some of the plants didn't do so well.
Looks like the grass is doing good (below) ha ha. Below is a picture same date after I mulched it. All the new pictures are now taken from this angle. I also divided this one into square foot boxes with string.

We have a trellis for the climbing beans and peas in the back row. Everything seems to be coming alone nicely. As youc an see the zucchini in the back row has a flower. The below picture shows the tomatoes already on the corner plant.

Finally got around to planting it. I also started to label things.

Not much in this box. I have lemon balm and a few flowers. I use it mostly to put plants until I get time to transplant them

Box 9 - soil only. Box 10 - straw, no soil yet. Box 11 (empty space) You can see top left corner where it will be.
July 8th. We finally got around to putting the rest of the potatoes in the last box. Below picture is July 12. We already have potato leaves.

Zucchini patch
I moved the zucchini in a patch against the fence. I read they need a lot of room for growing. I left one in box 3 to see how it does.
